MATERIAL HANDLER/DRIVER – G Mining Services

Description

Under the supervision of the Office Manager, the incumbent will be part of the team dedicated to construction management and development of the local mining projects. This role focuses on safely transporting materials and goods while ensuring precise inventory management.

Requirements

• CXC Certificate inclusive of English and Mathematics or any equivalent certificates.
• 2+ years of experience in the field.
• Must be computer literate
• Technical training in warehouse operations or logistics can be beneficial.
• Valid Driver’s License

 Experience:

• Experience in material handling, storing, organizing shipping/receiving, or a similar role.
• Knowledge of stock control, order picking
• Experience with safely loading and unloading goods from trucks and storage areas.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, offload and verify all incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices.
• Ensure proper inventory management by Storing materials in designated locations.
• Gather materials based on order requirements, package them securely for shipment.
• Conduct regular inventory checks, cycle counts, and report discrepancies if any.
• Keep work areas clean and ensuring safe storage of materials.
• Posting of Purchase orders.
• Prepare manifest for material shipping.
• Receive and deliver materials to job sites.
• Ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while following traffic laws.
