American Construction Inc. is seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Office Clerk/Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support to the office and assist with the day-to-day operations of the department. The successful candidate will work closely with the COO, Office Manager, and other members of management to ensure that documents, records, correspondence, and general office tasks are handled accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the COO and office manager.
  • Assist with preparing, organizing, filing, and maintaining company documents and records.
  • Assist with typing letters, memos, reports, forms, and other office documents.
  • Receive, sort, distribute, and organize incoming correspondence and documents.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date filing systems, both physical and electronic.
  • Make photocopies, scans, prints, and other document-related tasks as required.
  • Assist with data entry and updating company records and spreadsheets.
  • Assist with preparing documents and information requested by management.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling employee, company, financial, or other sensitive information.
  • Assist with answering telephone calls, taking messages, and directing calls to the appropriate person when required.
  • Assist with receiving visitors and directing them to the appropriate department or employee.
  • Assist with scheduling, organizing, and preparing materials for meetings when required.

Requirements

  • Secondary school education; additional training in office administration, business, or a related field is an asset.
  • Previous experience in an office, clerical, administrative, or customer service position is an asset.
