We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Officer to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing financial transactions, assisting with financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and journal entries.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting activities.
  • Ensure timely payment of suppliers and collection of outstanding receivables.
  • Prepare and submit statutory filings and assist with tax compliance as required.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing requested financial information.
  • Assist in payroll processing and related reconciliations when required.
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems).
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Preferred:
  • Progress toward or completion of a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA or CPA) would be an asset.
