DESCRIPTION
The Inventory/Accounts Clerk is responsible for managing inventory records and financial transactions to ensure accurate and efficient accounting and stock management within the company. This role involves maintaining and updating inventory databases, processing financial transactions, and providing support for the finance and operations teams.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma, CAT or equivalent
- Proven experience in inventory management and/or accounting roles.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks software and inventory management systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Driver’s License is an asset
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and update inventory records in the company’s database.
- Managing intercompany transactions: billing to different departments and subsidiaries, transfer of inventories between subsidiaries etc
• Tracking incoming and outgoing products
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain inventory control and management procedures by liaising with sales team and warehouse on products consumption to ensure products availability when needed.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment.
• Enter inventory into QB within 24 hours upon receipt of signed shipment invoice from warehouse.
• Monitor goods in transit account weekly ensuring account is updated.
• Prepare inventory reports and provide analysis on inventory status and movements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding inventory management.
Accounts Management:
• Input data into the company’s accounting system and assist with general ledger entries (MS Excel and Quickbooks Desktop)
• Prepare, organize, and maintain accurate accounting documents and records: vouchers, invoices, receipts, bills etc.
• Handle administrative tasks: filing, copying, scanning documents
• Assist with internal and external reconciliations and audits
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Any other accounting tasks assigned by the Accountant
REMUNERATION/BENEFITS
Starting salary: 100k GYD
