DESCRIPTION
The Accounts Clerk will be responsible for providing strong accounting and clerical support to the Accounts Department. He/ She must be confidential and professional at all times and adhere to the organization’s policies and procedures. The role requires that the individual be outgoing and willing to travel to conduct business outside of the office.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Seven CSEC, inclusive of Mathematics, English, and Accounts with minimum grade II.
Experience:
At least two years experience in a similar role;
Working proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, mainly Ms. Excel.
Working proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting applications would be an asset.
Skills:
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Take initiative and make recommendations;
Have good time management skills with a view to meeting deadlines;
Focused and results-driven;
Pays attention to details
Good communication, analytical and organizational skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To accurately record daily business transactions
Reconciliation of control and bank accounts
Preparation of vouchers and other accounts-related documents
Making payments in and out of Georgetown
Maintaining an updated filing system;
Perform any other related duties associated with this position.
REMUNERATION
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
