ACCOUNTS CLERK

The Ministry of Agriculture, Pesticides and Toxic Chemicals Control Board is responsible under the Pesticides and Toxic Chemicals Control Act and its Regulations, for the importation, distribution, sale, use, storage and disposal of all pesticides and toxic chemicals. The Board is seeking to fill the position of Accounts Clerks to work at the Board’s Secretariat located in the National Agricultural Research Extension Institute (NAREI) Compound, Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of monthly and quarterly account statements, preparing and maintaining petty cash and all expenses, salaries, NIS and GRA statements, cheques and other financial statements as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Candidate must be pursuing Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) or equivalent qualification along with one year experience. Experience in government accounting system will be an asset. Candidate must be computer literate.

Remuneration:

A competitive salary package is offered for this position, commensurate with qualifications and experience, and is negotiable.
