The position shall cover the following areas:
Installing, maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Diagnose, repair and install appliances on behalf of the Giftland Group of Companies.
REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements/Specifications:
Education: Degree/Diploma/Certificate in refrigeration is required.
Diploma/Certificate in electrical installation, electronic repairs and/or appliance repairs would be an asset.
Experience: At least three (3) year previous experience in a similar position/environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Installing, maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Review floorplans when required.
Install air conditioning/heating systems
Test heating/cooling systems for proper functionality
Perform emergency repairs when required
Maintain an inventory list of all tools provided
Source parts and supplies required
Make routine adjustments to maximize operational efficiency
Record data from routine system inspections
Diagnose, repair and install appliances sold by the Giftland Group of Companies.
Diagnose, repair and install items on behalf of the Giftland Group of Companies
Source parts to effect repairs when required
Update records of all tasks assigned using the internal ticketing system
Provide technical assistance and information when required
Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Electronics Manager

Salaries and Benefits are based on Giftland existing salary scheme, and benefits are in accordance with the laws of Guyana and the policies of Giftland. These are all provided for in the Contract of employment.
