DESCRIPTION
Assist Lead Architect and Engineers in providing local technical assistance for the design, conceptual development, and construction of building projects in the public and private sector. Tasks may include basic assistance with conceptually visualizing projects, preparing drawings, specifications, budgets, and construction documents, and developing and presenting design proposals. Generate accurate and concise drawings, renderings, and documentation regarding assigned aspects of the project. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, structural integrity, and occupancy.
REQUIREMENTS
BSc in Architecture
Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in similar position.
Proficent in the use of AutoCAD.
Knowledge of 3D software would be an asset, but not required.
Can travel out of town [if required]
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct Preliminary site investigation/measurement & drawings.
2. Preparation of preliminary & construction drawings.
3. Prepare final design (working drawings)
4. Routine project supervision
5. Review of Shop Drawings
6. Prepare work programme and review contractor’s work plan
7. Prepare progress reports
