Quality+ Bakery is looking for a skilled and creative Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about baking and have a strong understanding of baking techniques and ingredient functions. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, ensuring quality and consistency, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Culinary Training: Formal culinary training or a diploma from a baking school is preferred but not required.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a baker or in a similar role in a bakery or food service environment is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in baking techniques and knowledge of various baking equipment and tools.
  • Food Safety Certification: Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices; certification is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
  • Creativity: Ability to create visually appealing and delicious baked goods, with a flair for presentation.
  • Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Baking: Prepare and bake a variety of goods including bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked items according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Recipe Management: Follow established recipes and methods, and adjust ingredients and processes as needed to achieve desired results.
  • Ingredient Preparation: Measure and mix ingredients, prepare doughs and batters, and handle raw materials with precision.
  • Quality Control: Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product appearance to ensure consistency and high quality.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory of baking supplies and ingredients, including ordering and restocking as needed.
  • Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and other kitchen tools.
