Demerara Distillers Limited and Subsidiaries is seeking applications from interested persons with the requisite qualifications and experience, for the positions below:
Civil Engineer
The holder of this position will be responsible for, among other things:
- Managing, designing and implementing projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner
- Conducting site investigations, analyze data and carry out technical, feasibility studies and assess potential risks
- Managing project budgets, the procurement of building materials and provide leadership to team members
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, permits, and applying for same when necessary
Applicants must possess:
- A Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Guyana or any recognized university with five (5) years’ experience in a supervisory or project management position
- Working knowledge of Auto CAD, Civil 3D or any other similar software application
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- A willingness to work flexible hours
