DESCRIPTION

Responsible for: Clinical Rotations for TAU medical clerks

The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for evaluating, establishing and arranging for the clinical rotations for TAU medical clerks in affiliated clinical sites with the aim to maximize the educational experience and clinical exposure of the students.

The Clinical Coordinator is also responsible for the execution of clinical academic policies of TAU in its affiliated clinical sites.

Clinical Rotation
Assist the Clinical Manager in all activities of the Clinical Department



Organizing Core and Elective clinical rotations of medical clerks in the affiliated hospitals with approval from the Clinical Affairs Manager, Associate Dean Clinical Sciences and the Dean’s Office.
Regular monitoring and reporting of students’ attendance and progress ( log Book monitoring)
Coordinating with examinations department for objective evaluation of students prior to clinical rotation (OSCE and OSPE) and evaluations during hospital training in the six (6) core and twelve (12) elective rotations.
To coordinate and ensure payments to hospitals​ Faculty Coordination
Identifying faculties for didactics and Pre- Clinical in coordination with Clinical Manager, Associate Dean and Deans’ Office
Facilitate, gather and update the Curriculum Vitae of clinicians involved in the teaching-learning didactic sessions and hospitals preceptor ships.
Collaborate with the HODs & HR for attendance of faculties teaching the didactics and clinicians directly involved with the teaching- learning process in the hospital. Outreach Programme
Coordinate with Clinical Affairs Manager, Associate Dean and the Dean’s Office for identifying health facilities, PHCs, and others institutions which can be recipients of TAU health corps activities.
Coordinate with Ministry of Health, Guyana, Guyana Defense Forces, Community Primary Health Centres, Orphanages, Geriatric Homes, Churches, Mosques, Temples and others for organizing suitable Medical & Awareness Camps on their request on Saturdays and Sundays.
Coordinate with the NGOs by organizing suitable Medical *Awareness Camps for the peer group, teachers, parents and Communities. Help assist in getting CAMPs done through the Associate Dean, Clinical Sciences and Texila Health Corps.
Shall ensure scheduling of Clinical Rotations through ERP.
Reporting: The Employee will send detailed and comprehensive reports as per the format given to him on a timely basis.
Compliance: The Employee shall ensure compliance with all statutes, ordinances, law, regulations, rules, codes of practice and orders of any governmental or other authority having jurisdiction and any other laws and regulations (national and international) which are applicable. The employee, in the performance of work, shall strictly comply with conditions of permits, licenses and clearances relating to the work.
REMUNERATION
