DESCRIPTION
The Construction Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the on-site construction and mechanical completion of project-specific facilities. Monitor and appraise the contractor’s performance of logistics and construction activities at the VEHSI Shorebase as well as various locations in the greater Georgetown region. Coordinate interfaces and interactions with contractors, subs, and Company personnel. Demonstrate safety leadership as the primary contractor interface at VEHSI Shorebase. Provide Yellowtail Construction Lead with regular reports on progress, performance, initiatives, issues, and challenges. Support the contractor’s application of the Construction basics & perform periodic assessments.
REQUIREMENTS
- BS/MS in Engineering
- 3 to 5 years in construction Management or subsea construction experience
- Good coordination & interface capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and groups, and make presentations when required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote safety awareness, performance, and culture among project team members, including consultants and contractor personnel.
- Provide input to and review the development of contractor’s detailed plans to complete the work.
- Monitor and appraise contractor’s performance and recommend corrective action to be taken where deficiencies are detected; verify actions are taken.
- Coordinate resolution of production and technical issues with appropriate Company and contractor resources on and off-site.
- Establish, implement, and maintain a detailed personnel tracking log.
- Review and monitor contractor’s organization plans and on-site staff. Assess organizational performance in executing the work.
- Liaise with on-site VEHSI, contractor, and Company personnel to ensure clear communication as well as safe and effective work planning and execution.
- Participate in lessons-learned reviews and provide input to close-out report sections upon completion of work.
- Review change requests and change assessments in accordance with the Management of Change Plan.
- Support Company QC inspectors and elevate any issues in a timely manner.
- Support Company fabrication leads with jumper fabrication activities.
- Ensures site Safety, Emergency Response, and Incident Management Procedures are in place and followed.
- Verify the need for and completion of VEHSI maintenance work and services to the contractor.
