Key Job Responsibilities
- Engage in sourcing, negotiating, underwriting, and coordinating the closure of consumer and residential loans in compliance with the Bank’s credit policies and procedures.
- Gather and analyse all information necessary to present a financing request for approval, including meeting with existing and potential customers and visiting customer sites.
- Ensure compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable banking and statutory regulations.
- Continuously monitor assigned accounts, recommend and implement corrective actions to be taken to prevent possible credit losses.
- Develop Chequing and deposit relationships with customers and promote business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for services.
- Assist in attaining established Bank goals through active participation in marketing and officer call programs.
Required Educational Skills
- A University First Degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics, Business Management or related discipline plus four years experience in banking with at least two years in consumer lending OR six years’ experience in consumer banking with at least three years in consumer lending.
- Excellent analytical skills, decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be computer literate and have working knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
- Strong sense of confidentiality, impartiality and objectivity.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current practices and procedures related to Credit and Marketing.
