The Board of the National Insurance Scheme-Guyana invites suitable individuals to fill the executive position of Finance Controller.

The position of Finance Controller is permanent, pensionable and with an attractive remuneration and other benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the General Manager, the Finance Controller is responsible for:

-Planning, coordinating and controlling the day to day operations of personnel with respect to all financial activities as they relate to budgetary preparation, expenditure control and investment in order to ensure the efficient management and protection of the finances of the National Insurance Fund.

-The Finance Controller would also be expected to assist the Board and Senior Management in the formulation of policies and strategies to ensure that the National Insurance Scheme’s Fund is preserved for future generation.


  • Applicants should possess a University Degree in Accountancy plus a minimum of over Five (5) years’ experience as a management and financial accountant with a reputable organization.

OR • ACCA qualification plus a minimum of five (5) years management experience in a senior financial position
