Key Responsibilities
- Finance & Accounts: Maintain accounting records, process supplier and customer invoices, verify invoices and purchase orders, prepare payments, record income and expenses, monitor outstanding balances, manage petty cash, complete bank reconciliations, maintain supporting documentation, and assist with monthly financial reporting and external audits.
- Payroll: Maintain payroll records, salaries, allowances, overtime, deductions, attendance and leave information; prepare payroll for approval; coordinate statutory payroll requirements; and respond to employee payroll queries.
- Human Resources: Maintain confidential employee files, contracts and staff records; assist with recruitment, job advertisements, applications and interviews; coordinate onboarding; and maintain probation and training records.
- Employee Administration: Monitor attendance, leave and overtime; support performance reviews and employee relations; maintain disciplinary documentation; and ensure HR policies and procedures are properly documented.
- Training & Safety: Maintain employee training records and coordinate required training and related workplace safety administration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Management, or a related field.
- Training or certification in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Payroll Administration, or Human Resource Management would be an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting or bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar systems would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles, payroll processing, record keeping, and office administration.
- Previous experience in an accounting, finance, HR, payroll, or administrative role is preferred.
