FINANCE MANAGER

The role has responsibilities that will include budgeting, treasury, taxes, forecast preparation, capital expenditure, financial reporting (balance sheets, income statements etc.) and management reporting, to support making sound business decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the Company’s Accounting and Finance function, with accountability for the short, mid and long-term deliverables it is required to achieve.
  • Manage the coordination and preparation of all site forecast and budget submissions.
  • Provide input into the weekly and monthly reports and development of systems supporting forecasting and reporting the actuals for site data.
  • Oversee the development of financial, analytical and forecasting tools for all major production and cost drivers for the company ensuring the Departmental Managers have the information needed for cost and volume analysis, quarterly forecasts, annual Business Plans.
  • Manage the month-end process and the monthly hard close, to ensure month-end procedures are completed to meet the company’s monthly reporting schedule, including: analysis and approval of accruals and journals, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with required controls and generally accepted accounting policies.
  • Ensure that financial reporting is submitted in a timely manner and is accurate and approved.
  • Oversee analysis of monthly and quarterly costs and ensuring cost reporting is managed accurately and timely.
  • Fully install all necessary PRONTO modules, and a standard suite of automated reports, to ensure the efficient running of the company and the operations. Ensure all required supporting processes are implemented and are efficient and effective.
  • Assist in analysis of supplier contracts including input into key supplier meetings. Develop and report supplier KPI’s and work with the Supply Manager to review supplier performance and seek opportunities to add value to the business.

Requirements:

  • Must have relevant knowledge to fulfill the role, and at least 10-years’ experience in a senior finance and accounting capacity, in the resource and/or manufacturing industry.
  • Must hold an acceptable professional accounting designation (ACCA. ACMAorCA)
  • Must have sound knowledge and experience of working with fully functioning ERP systems: and be fully proficient in MS Office.

Evidence of maintaining professional proficiency and full understanding of accounting standards.
