Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall day-to-day operations of the company’s retail stores, warehouse, and supporting functions
- Establish clear operational standards and ensure consistent implementation across all locations
- Monitor store and departmental performance and take timely corrective action when targets or standards are not met
- Conduct regular operational reviews and store visits to identify issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Ensure effective staffing, scheduling, store readiness, merchandising, cleanliness, security, and customer service standards
- Standardize and implement best practices across locations to improve operational efficiency
- Lead the execution of strategies to achieve sales, revenue, and profitability targets
- Monitor performance by store, department, product category, and sales team
- Work with Sales and Marketing to maximize promotional campaigns, seasonal opportunities, product launches, and revenue growth
- Review business performance data and implement actions to address underperformance
- Identify opportunities for business growth, improved market competitiveness, and increased customer retention
- Work closely with Finance to monitor revenue, expenses, budgets, margins, and overall profitability

- Work with Inventory, Warehouse, Procurement, and Store teams to improve stock availability and minimize inventory losses
- Provide direction, coaching, and accountability to Store Managers, Department Heads, and other members of the management team
- Establish clear performance expectations and ensure managers are accountable for achieving their targets
- Develop managers’ leadership and people-management capabilities through coaching, feedback, and performance reviews
- Partner with HR on recruitment, workforce planning, employee development, performance management, employee relations, and retention
- Identify high-potential employees and support succession planning and internal career development
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement
- Establish and maintain consistent customer service standards across all locations
- Monitor customer feedback, complaints, returns, and service issues

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Retail Management, Operations Management, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of progressive management experience, preferably in retail, distribution, FMCG, or a multi-location business environment
- Proven experience managing teams, managers, and/or multiple business locations
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, sales, inventory management, budgeting, and business performance
- Experience working with KPIs, financial reports, and operational data
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Strong business judgment and decision-making ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Experience with POS, ERP, inventory management, payroll, or retail management systems is an advantage
- Knowledge of the Guyana retail market and applicable workplace requirements is an advantage
