INFORMATION SYSTEMS OFFICER
The Information Systems Officer must understand the Microsoft technolog, stack. IT Infrastructure and the Pronto ERP system (or other major ERP system) and be competent in the configuration and/or development of information systems. The IT Officer must be able to demonstrate experience in working directly with management to scope and analyse complex business requirements and delivering solutions to meet their outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead on information technology across the business including general software and hardware support and connectivity.
- Develop and updates an information technology plan for the business.
- Ensures the company has an appropriate level of system and data access security and appropriate back-up procedures are in place
- Develop and maintain an IT Disaster Recovery and IT Business Continuity Plan.
- Plan and build an IT infrastructure to meet the needs of business and provide ongoing support for server, network, computers, and CCTV systems for the offices and the mine operations.
- Apply agile-oriented methodologies which are business-value driven to optimise existing processes and solutions and deliver new business transformation solutions in several environments.
- Provide business partner support to improve data integrity and enable stakeholders to make optimal use of available systems and functionality.
- Produce system documentation to ensure end-to-end business processes are fully understood and documented
- Lead in the development and management of the Pronto ERP system and ensure appropriate data security protocols are implemented for, and back-up procedures
Requirements:
- University Degree in computer science and information systems.
- At least 5 years or more experience in an IT environment and exposure to modern IT infrastructure and software, and a major ERP system.
- Must be familiarwith Cloud based IT solutions.
- Must have experience in IT and data security, back-up procedures.
- Knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity. Experience in producing training materials and user guides, technical documentation, and process documentation.
- Has maintained relevant current IT certifications.
