INTERNAL AUDITOR – HLB R. Seebarran & Co

To provide independent assurance that revenue is fully captured and recorded, assets are safeguarded, policies and statutory obligations are complied with, and control weaknesses are identified and corrected across all operating departments with a company in the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare an annual risk-based audit plan and obtain approval
  • Perform fieldwork, retain adequate working papers and evidence
  • Issue reports setting out finding, risk rating, root cause, recommendation, management response and agreed deadline
  • Track and follow up open findings to closure
  • Conduct fraud investigations and handle whistle-blower reports confidentially
  • Liaise with external auditors and support the year-end audit

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • ACCA, CPA, CA or CIA (qualified or part-qualified)
  • Two to five years in audit, accounting or hotel finance
  • hospitality experience strongly preferred
  • Strong Excel
  • familiarity with IFRS
  • Unquestioned integrity, discretion, and the confidence to report unwelcome findings
