Demerara Distillers Limited & Subsidiaries (DDL) seeks applications from highly motivated, dynamic, and dedicated persons for the position of Inventory and Supply Chain Manager, to lead and exercise oversight and control of the inventory management and supply chain teams in our manufacturing plants. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and control, with a strategic mindset, be analytical, and data-driven, and display excellent leadership and coordination skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Forecast inventory needs, and coordinate with the production and procurement teams to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained in alignment with production requirements and sale projections for our manufactured and trading goods.
2. Establish strong relationships with suppliers and logistics/supply chain agents to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of inventory requirements.
3. Develop and oversee the implementation of a robust inventory management system, with internal checks and controls, in keeping with the Company’s policies and procedures, to ensure availability and control of all inventories required for smooth, efficient, and reliable production and sale/dispatch operations.
4. Coordinate across the procurement, raw materials, production, finished goods warehouse, and sales/dispatch teams to ensure seamless manufacturing and dispatch operations.
5. Utilize inventory management software and tools to analyze inventory and supply chain data and generate reports on key performance metrics for management review (such as Stock Count Reconciliation, Stock Reports, Damages Reports, etc.).
6. Identify and leverage opportunities to drive the automation/digitization, simplification, optimization, and continuous improvement of business processes, utilizing data analysis and enabling technology to continuously transform the inventory management system to optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness in the day-to-day operations.
7. Train and mentor inventory management and supply chain staff, fostering a culture of compliance, competence, continuous improvement, and development.



MAIN QUALIFICATIONSAND EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or similar qualification such as ACCA.
2. At least 5 years’ experience in inventory and supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
3. Proficiency in using ERP software, preferably SAP, for inventory planning, analysis, control, and reporting for management review and decision-making.
4. Exercise strong judgment and decision-making, with good analytical and problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and a proven facility to be driven by data analytics.
5. Strong multi-tasking ability, communication, and coordination skills for effective collaboration with crossfunctional teams in the production and sales/dispatch operations.
6. Leadership and team management skills, to motivate and guide a diverse inventory team.
7. Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance requirements in a manufacturing setting.
