JUNIOR BIOMEDICAL
ENGINEER
Location – Georgetown, Guyana
The Junior Field Engineer serves as a service technician on assigned open tickets and works in collaboration with senior engineering staff members, response center, and logistics to resolve customer affecting technical issues in a timely fashion in order to maintain maximum customer satisfaction. This individual is a creative professional who is organized and has an eye for detail. Problem solving and professional ethics are also fundamental in this role to achieve success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, troubleshoot and maintain equipment inclusive of preventative maintenance and system updates
- Identify, analyze, and repair product failures, and order/replace parts as needed.
- Escalate tickets with equipment manufacturers as necessary
- Prepare formal technical reports to customers
- Meet with clients to take detailed order briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Perform tasks and projects related to installations, site visits and planning, and commissioning of equipment
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
REQUIREMENTS
- Certified Biomedical Electronics Technician (CBET), BSc in Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering or similar
- 1-3 years’ experience performing maintenance on biomedical
equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
