JUNIOR BIOMEDICAL
ENGINEER

Location – Georgetown, Guyana

The Junior Field Engineer serves as a service technician on assigned open tickets and works in collaboration with senior engineering staff members, response center, and logistics to resolve customer affecting technical issues in a timely fashion in order to maintain maximum customer satisfaction. This individual is a creative professional who is organized and has an eye for detail. Problem solving and professional ethics are also fundamental in this role to achieve success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Install, troubleshoot and maintain equipment inclusive of preventative maintenance and system updates
2. Identify, analyze, and repair product failures, and order/replace parts as needed.
3. Escalate tickets with equipment manufacturers as necessary
4. Prepare formal technical reports to customers
5. Meet with clients to take detailed order briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
6. Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
7. Perform tasks and projects related to installations, site visits and planning, and commissioning of equipment
8. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
9. Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques

REQUIREMENTS

1. Certified Biomedical Electronics Technician (CBET), BSc in Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering or similar
2. 1-3 years’ experience performing maintenance on biomedical

equipment

3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
