JUNIOR INSPECTOR / FIELD SUPPORT ASSISTANT – DG Inspection Services (Guyana) Inc.

The Junior Inspector / Field Support Assistant supports Senior Inspectors during field operations and assists with inspection-related activities, logistics, administrative support, and operational tasks. This position is ideal for individuals with technical knowledge of industrial equipment seeking hands-on experience in the inspection industry. Junior Inspectors work under the direct supervision of Senior Inspectors and do not independently issue inspection findings, inspection certificates, recommendations, or reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior Inspectors during equipment inspections.
  • Observe and learn inspection methodologies and industry standards.
  • Assist with visual inspections and basic functional verification checks.
  • Verify equipment identification numbers and tags.
  • Assist with photography and inspection documentation.
  • Clean and prepare equipment surfaces for inspection activities when required.
  • Assist with organizing inspection tools and equipment.
  • Transport documents, supplies, and inspection materials.
  • Support field logistics and site coordination.
  • Assist with loading and unloading inspection equipment when required.
  • Deliver sealed company correspondence and documentation.
  • Maintain records of completed assignments.
  • Assist with filing and document management activities.
  • Support general operational requirements as assigned.

Requirements

  • Secondary School Education (CXC/CSEC or equivalent)
  • Technical Diploma, Trade Certificate, or equivalent qualification in: Mechanical Engineering Industrial Technology Heavy Equipment Technology Welding and Fabrication Automotive Technology Electrical Technology Or a related technical discipline
  • Valid Guyana Driver’s License
  • Reliable personal vehicle
