LAB TECHNICIAN – Guyana Manganese

DESCRIPTION
Guyana Manganese Inc. is seeking a Lab Technician to job our team at Matthew’s Ridge region one.

REQUIREMENTS
●University Diploma or equivalent experience

● Verbal and written communication skills

● Valid laboratory technician certificate

● Computer skills, including excel, power point, and email communication

● Excellent work ethic

● Sets good example for others and promotes a positive environment

● Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and email communication

● Fluent English.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Implementation and maintenance of Laboratory Quality Management System.

Shall be capable of performing the laboratory aspects of a job assignment with minimum supervision. The laboratory technician shall receive assignments from the Production Supervisor and Technical engineers.

Maintain lab facilities in good condition, including maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments and for maintaining proper levels of chemical regents and supplies for inventory of laboratory.

Systematically handle the results of all analysis, tests, and measurements, keep the records in compliance with requirements of the laboratory quality systems as applicable to the sample being analyzed.
