Logistics Advisor – Leader Engineering Guyana Inc

DESCRIPTION

The Logistics Advisor is responsible within the Procurement supply chain organization for executing and managing the day-to-day logistics and Customs operations.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in supply chain/business Management or Equivalent.
• Logistics experience, at least 3 years is required
• Customs experience/interface at least 3 years is required.
• Disciplined process execution.
• Have strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, muti tasking.
• Understanding of life cycle/total system cost analytics
• Effective internal and external negotiation, advocacy and influencing skills.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service skills
• Drive continuous improvement, best practices, and innovation.
• CORE COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
• Strong Ethics, Controls and Operations Integrity awareness.
• Effective English written and oral communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft suit.
• Good purchase and pay process knowledge.
• SAP skills (Purchase to pay module)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and promotes safe and ethical behavior in compliance with the company standards.
• Manage the day-to-day logistics and customer operations.
• Liaise and interface with Freight forwarder and custom broker.
• Manage and execute logistics and customer contract administration guidance plan.
• Drive continuous improvement, best practices, and innovation.
• Align with Business needs, objectives, and strategies.
• Coordinate, interface, cooperate and build relationships with the following key internal and external functions/interfaces:
• Key internal interfaces: Business Line, upstream logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain, Payables, Controllers.
• Key external interfaces: Supplies (local & foreign), Freight forwarders, Customs Brokers, Packers, Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA), Guyana Geology and Mines Commission (GGMC).
