Key Responsibilities
- Receiving, unpacking, & organizing cargo according to outlined procedures. This involves labelling cargo with all necessary invoices and/or labels, and alphabetically assigning cargo to respective areas in the cargo room.
- Ensuring the cargo area is neatly organised and tidy at all times.
- Ensuring that cargo boxes are broken down and disposed of according to the schedule.
- Tracking shipments using company-provided cargo software and manifests.
- Preparing cargo for delivery and office pickup.
- Ensuring that all cargo delivered or picked up by customers are released using available software.
- Directly responsible for ensuring customers collect packages, and includes contacting customers to notify them of the availability of packages.
- Support branch transfers as directed by the Team Leader and Manager, as well as delivery preparation with a high level of accuracy.
