MAINTENANCE MECHANICAL FITTER – Guyana Industrial Minerals Inc.

The Maintenance Mechanical Fitter’s primary responsibility will be to assist and execute all mechanical maintenance activities – both fixed and mobile plant, ensuring all work is conducted in a safe manner, utilizing quality workmanship to promote high plant availability and utilization across the complete Bonasika Project.

• Minimum General Certificate of Education (GCE) / Diploma and/or related experience in Mechanical Maintenance within a recognized industry.
• A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience.
• Hold a current Guyana Car Driver’s License.
• Experience within a mining environment or heavy industry.
• Exposure to industrial and/or commercial civil and mining equipment including Light Vehicles (LV).
• Extensive knowledge of fuel and power systems in a capacity of diesel power plants.
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, legal regulations, and guidelines.
• Telecommunication experience with termination of cabling and network troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret detailed mechanical engineering drawings. Basic fabrication skills.

• Perform maintenance on all site equipment for appropriate performance and to OEM standards.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Adjust equipment, repair and/or replace defective parts, components, or systems with the use of hand and power tools.
• Able to read, understand and apply information from technical manuals, prints, and schematics for troubleshooting and repair.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled repair work on all site vehicles/equipment.
• Assist with providing consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to fixed/mobile equipment or vehicle users.
• Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
