As a Mechanic Technician, you bring value to GK+B through preventive and corrective maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and mechanical equipment used within the machine shop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, servicing, and repairs on equipment
  • Proficient electrical skills
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems affecting CNC and conventional machining equipment.
  • Inspect and maintain machine components including bearings, gears, shafts, belts, pulleys, couplings, lubrication systems, and drive systems
  • Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, regulators, and fittings
  • Assist with the installation, alignment, leveling, and commissioning of new and relocated machinery
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimize production downtime
  • Support maintenance activities on compressors, pumps, generators, material-handling equipment, and other machinery
  • Carry out emergency repairs and breakdown maintenance when required.
  • Advanced work on CNC lathes
  • Work closely with machinists, operators, supervisors, and other maintenance personnel to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Complete jobs assigned from MaintainX
  • Follow the requirements of GK+B’s safety program
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Education: High School Graduate or GED or Trade School or read and write
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years industry experience
