JOB OPPORTUNITY: World University Service of Canada (WUSC) is currently recruiting for the positions of: Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, for a new project in Guyana called Empowering the Next Generation: Agency and Gender Equality (ENGAGE Youth). These positions are open to suitably qualified CARICOM Nationals and the initial posting will be for a period of two (2) years.
PROJECT OVERVIEW: The ENGAGE project aims to increase participation and inclusion of Guyana’s most remote, marginalized, and poorest populations in regions predominantly occupied by Indigenous people. Interventions will focus on marginalized indigenous populations, women and youth in Guyana and will include: providing opportunities to improve civic participation; increasing access to resources; and fostering more meaningful engagement in decision-making.
POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the ENGAGE Project Director (PD) and working in close collaboration with the Financial Analyst in WUSC Ottawa and the WUSC Caribbean Regional Finance Manager, the ENGAGE Finance Manager is responsible for leading Accounting and Finance while supporting Project Planning and Management. Under the supervision of the PD, the Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing the overall Monitoring & Evaluation strategy and related activities within the project and providing timely and relevant information and support to project stakeholders.
