NETWORK ENGINEER – Digital Technology

DESCRIPTION
Network Engineer is responsible for setting up, developing and maintaining computer networks within an organisation or between organisations.

REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Information Technology or Certifications CompTIA Network+, CCNA, VMware VCP, CompTIA Network, Security+, Microsoft (MTA, MCSA) or relevant field.
Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure inclusive of designs and developments.
Minimum of three (3) years’ working experience in the above position or similar role.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
Technical Capacity.
Team player.
Organizational and efficient time management skills
Strategic Thinking Self-starter (willing to take initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do).

RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve the organization and its clients .
Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to other staff within the organization and its clients
Oversee clients technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in their organization to ensure optimal performance
organize and implement IT-related projects
Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage.
Establishes and maintains a Disaster Recovery (DR) Plan to ensure business continuity and conducts periodic testing of DR procedures.
Ensure overall network security and data integrity by managing internal hardware and software security systems at customer location.
Ensure all personnel receives the relevant support to carry out their duties using equipment provided
Other duties as assigned.
