Network Engineer – Digital Technology

DESCRIPTION

Network Engineer is responsible for setting up, developing and maintaining computer networks within an organisation or between organisations.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Information Technology or Certifications CompTIA Network+, CCNA, VMware VCP, CompTIA Network, Security+, Microsoft (MTA, MCSA) or relevant field.
• Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure inclusive of designs and developments.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ working experience in the above position or similar role.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
• Technical Capacity.
• Team player.
• Organizational and efficient time management skills
• Strategic Thinking Self-starter (willing to take initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve the organization and its clients .
• Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to other staff within the organization and its clients
• Oversee clients technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in their organization to ensure optimal performance
• organize and implement IT-related projects
• Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage.
• Establishes and maintains a Disaster Recovery (DR) Plan to ensure business continuity and conducts periodic testing of DR procedures.
• Ensure overall network security and data integrity by managing internal hardware and software security systems at customer location.
• Ensure all personnel receives the relevant support to carry out their duties using equipment provided
• Other duties as assigned.
