Key Responsibilities
- Color Tinting & Mixing: Operate computerized paint-mixing machinery and spectrophotometers to produce custom paint, stain, and finish formulas.
- Customer Consultation: Advise shoppers on appropriate primers, paint sheens (flat, satin, semi-gloss), coverage estimates, and essential application tools like brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
- Department Merchandising: Restock shelves with paint cans and sundries, build promotional displays, and keep aisles organized and clean.
- Safety & Equipment Care: Maintain and calibrate tinting machines, handle paint pails safely, and clean chemical spills according to OSHA safety standards.
- Mixing paint, Colour matching, Colour research to continuously improve service.
- Keeping accurate records of paints mixed using relevant software.
- Keeping work area & tools/equipment in a clean and tidy manner
- Preparing Reports as required for Management to review
- Respond to all emails in a timely manner.
- Support Sales Associates & Customers to ensure a smooth business process.
- Complete checklists for department
- Cross Train in other designations for enhanced work experience.
- Any other task assigned by Management
Requirements
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and repeatedly lift heavy containers, including 5-gallon paint pails (up to 50 lbs).
