Come and join an exceptional team working for a major client offshore in Oil & Gas. We are seeking a ‘Painter’ to work in accordance with protocols for correct storage and proper stock control of the paint inventory. Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of paint spraying equipment and assist with general rig cleaning duties as required by the Deck Crew/Supervisor.

•        Must have ‘Able-bodied Seaman’ or ‘Deck Rating’ from previous sea work
•        STCW (required), T-BOSIET with CA-EBS (advantageous)
•        Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in similar roles
•        Knowledge of paint application and spraying
•        Offshore Survival (Preferred)

QHSE Responsibilities:

•        Actively support the Implementation of the Safety Management System.
•        To ensure a safe working environment without harm to persons or the environment. Specifically, take time out for safety in case of unsecured actions.
•        To address QHSE issues at the time of their identification.
•        To make safety suggestions when necessary.
•        Ensure Waste Management Plan is adhered to.
•        Ensure that any activity respect permit to work system and other HSE management tools.
•        Actively participate in safety discussions, safety drills and regular inspections.
•        Promptly Report all incidents or injuries to self or crew members which occur, regardless of seriousness, in accordance with Company procedure.

TASKS:

•        Perform maintenance to rig steelwork structure and apply paint systems as directed by the Supervisor.
•        Responsible for the correct storage and proper stock control of the paint inventory.
•        Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of paint spraying equipment.
•        Assist with general rig cleaning duties as required by the Supervisor.
•        Be familiar with the Security Plan and designated duties.
•        Perform general maintenance, repair, and upkeep of material, equipment, and work areas in the deck department as per Planned Maintenance System and as directed by the supervisor.
•        Ensure all duties and activities are conducted as per Management System.
