SENIOR IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
Demerara Distillers Limited & Subsidiaries (DDL) is seeking applications from interested persons with the requisite qualifications and experience, for the position of Senior IT Support Technician.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the Support team in the deployment of projects and managing the IT ticketing system
- Monitor the Company’s hardware portfolio and identifying related risks
- Review newly implemented hardware, software and services, and ensure IT Support staff have the training and understanding required to support the new systems / devices
- Inform supervisors when critical issues are encountered, work together to resolve, and plan daily workloads by prioritizing urgent issues with the team
- Support the asset management strategy by keeping meticulous records on the age of each machine / device on the network and ensure that equipment housekeeping, and disposal of assets is practised
- Manage the integrity and security levels of user distributed equipment and ensure change management is followed when implementing IT production changes
Applicants must possess:
- Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognised university and three (3) years’ experience in a similar role
- CompTIA certifications and Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCN A)
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) would be considered an asset
- Excellent customer service skills and a willingness to work flexible hours
