SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER/
COUNTRY MANAGER

Purpose of the job:

1. To provide and oversee offshore logistical support, material management, transfer of personnel, at the highest standard;
2. To ensure a quick, safe clearance and delivery of all airfreight and sea freight by liaising with shipping lines, customs and Client;
3. Responsible for all the operations/logistics issues supervising the Materials & Logistics Department, providing whatever is required for transporting materials by road, sea or air.

Responsibilities :

1. Negotiate with customs for release of goods/reduction of charges; Maintain an updated record of all goods;
2. Ensure freight forwarders and agents are keeping track of all freight, inward and outward, and shall be responsible for maintaining an updated record of all goods;
3. Review agents and forwarders invoices to ensure all as per agreed rates;
4. Perform any other related duty as and when requested to by management not limited to freight and or logistics.

Required Qualifications / Skills:

• A university degree or an equivalent vocational qualification;
• High level of English language proficiency;
• Skills and acknowledgment for all the customs/emigration issues for import, export procedures from Ato Z, shipping legislation and local emigration law.
• IT proficiency with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Relevant previous experience working in Guyana at an appropriate level.
• Autonomy, reactivity, ability to prioritize and good interpersonal skills are key qualities for a successful candidate.
