The Network Administrator ensures that all our computer networks are stable, functional and able to meet current and future demands. S/he will oversee the functionality of our local area network (LAN) including installation, configuring, performing a variety of maintenance, evaluation and training tasks to ensure LAN performance meets company requirements.
Summary of responsibilities include:
Managing WAN performance and maintaining network security
Ensuring adherence to security procedures
Planning, installing, maintaining and monitoring the network infrastructure
Supporting server, network and desktop hardware, software and applications
Evaluating vendor products in hardware and software and recommending purchases
consistent with short and long term objectives
Recommending and implementation of WAN policies and standards
Managing small to medium sized projects according to agreed-upon budgets and schedules
Developing and conducting various training and instruction for system users
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Engineering or other related areas
MCITP: Enterprise Messaging Administrator
CCNA
N+ Certification
A Valid Drivers Licence
Other Knowledge includes CIW Certification and MCDBA Certification
Key competencies include excellent written and oral communication skills, a high degree of professional integrity, problem identification and problem solving, ability to multi-task with minimal supervision and a strong team orientation.
