Our team is currently looking for a Warehouse Material Handler for a client in the Oil and Gas industry.
Responsible for the efficient movement of materials using various material handling equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, and conveyors. This role includes preparing outbound shipments, inventory control, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials within and between different areas. The position requires a focus on maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment while supporting other departments and complying with safety regulations.
Requirements
Education:
- High School Education
Experience:
- Completes all training assigned in the learning management system in a timely manner.
- Typically, multiple years of related industry experience.
- Experience operating various types/styles of material handling equipment.
- Oilfield industry experience preferred.
- Knowledge and proficiency in basic PC operation, including Microsoft Office.
- Proven problem-solving ability.
- Basic written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to accurately pull or put away orders according to established procedures.
- Ability to perform simple math problems.
- Ability to comprehend internal documents such as Movement Forms, SAP documents, and shipping documents.
- Ability to read and understand drawings.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift, overhead crane, machine (jib) hoists, hand tools, power tools, and tape measure. Knowledge/use of tools, equipment, and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Move materials by carrying, pushing, rolling, or operating forklifts, hand trucks, hoists, conveyors, and other equipment.
- Prepare outbound shipments, including staging, packaging, labeling, counting, and preparing shipping documents.
- Maintain inventory control by receiving, processing SAP transactions, and managing stock movements.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and vans.
- Safely operate and maintain advanced material handling equipment.
- Ensure warehouse operations are organized, efficient, and adhere to safety protocols.
- Complete and process all paperwork accurately, including warehouse and job preparation documentation.
- Collaborate with various departments, ensuring smooth operations across functional areas.
- Address operational challenges and safety concerns promptly, reporting issues to the Team Leader/Manager.
- Handle inventory control activities and update SAP records as required.
- Practice good housekeeping, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders to ensure seamless business operations.
- Complete order fulfillment, ensuring timely material deliveries and processing of necessary transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of materials for safe shipment, using tools such as banding machines and stretch film.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Complete assigned training in a timely manner.
