PUBLIC RELATIONS
OFFICER (PRO)
- Job Brief
The PRO supports the communications, public relations, and public affairs functions of the GCCI. The PRO will assist with the development and implementation of plans to increase awareness of the GCCI and its programs among members and external stakeholders.
- Responsibilities
- Develop communications and public relations collateral including press releases, speeches, briefing notes, presentations and press kits.
- Develop content for the organization’s monthly e-newsletter, social media platforms, website, and other promotional material.
- Monitor media coverage and public opinion and track emerging issues.
- Organize press briefings and work with GCCI spokespersons to support them in media efforts.
- Manage media relations and maintain a media contacts database.
- Support event marketing efforts.
- Attend events and meetings with external stakeholders as required.
- Any other duties as required that are appropriate to the scope of the role.

- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong project managementand organizational skills.
- Knowledge of, or the ability to develop the knowledge of business- related issues.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Requirements-MinimumQualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of work-related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
