The Finance Accounting Clerk is responsible for performing daily financial and accounting activities in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner while supporting the overall objectives of the Finance Department. This role assists with financial reconciliations, settlements, reporting, journal entries, accounts administration, and compliance activities to ensure the integrity of financial records and adherence to company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly settlements for partners by reviewing transaction reports, summarizing data, and obtaining the required approvals.
  • Prepare and distribute daily and weekly settlement reports to partners and stakeholders.
  • Assist with the monitoring and documentation of budget variances and provide supporting information as required.
  • Create purchase orders and upload supporting invoices in accordance with company procedures.
  • Liaise with internal finance teams and other departments to facilitate financial processes and resolve issues.
  • Prepare and post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Generate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders as requested.
  • Prepare and process monthly partner commission payments.
  • Prepare deposit slips and support banking activities.
  • Reconcile cashier transactions and MMG system transactions.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and provide explanations for outstanding or reconciling items.
  • Ensure all accounting entries are accurately recorded and supported by appropriate documentation.
  • Support internal and external audit activities and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the development, review, and implementation of finance-related policies and procedures.
  • Conduct research, gather information, and compile statistics to support projects and report generation.
  • Maintain financial records in compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote adherence to company policies, procedures, values, and professional standards.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field required; or Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) Level 2 with a minimum of 1 year of related accounting experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience.
  • Experience in financial accounting, bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and financial reporting is required.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles, financial record keeping, and bookkeeping practices.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent mathematical and numerical aptitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret business documents, policies, procedures, and financial information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
