Requirements
We are open to hearing from all interested candidates who meet the following requirements:
Education: Minimum 6 subjects CSEC including Mathematics and Principles of Accounts. Currently pursuing CAT or Diploma in Accounting
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial regulations.
Skills:
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Accounting assistants are assigned to a vibrant and dynamic accounting teams serving a diverse client portfolio in various industries. The successful candidate will be expected to be deliver on the following t
Data Entry and Record Keeping:
· Accurately input financial data into accounting software and databases.
· Maintain and update client and vendor records.
· Ensure all documentation is complete and properly filed.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
· Process and verify invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors.
· Reconcile and manage accounts receivable, including issuing and tracking client invoices.
· Monitor overdue accounts and assist with collections as necessary.
Bank Reconciliation:
· Perform monthly bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
· Reconcile credit card statements and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
Financial Reporting:
· Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
· Compile and analyze financial data for management review.
· Support the preparation of financial statements and schedules.
