ACCOUNTS SUPERVISOR – Muneshwers Ltd

The Accounts Supervisor will be required to assist with all accounting activities of both financial and management accounting. He/she is responsible for preparing financial and performance reports, assisting departments with annual budgets and reviews, monitor internal control and daily transaction, and taxation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements.
  • Assist with verifying and perusing all payment vouchers, remittance, cash sheet, statement of account, etc.
  • Assist with the preparation and payment of private haulage.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining internal control and effective accounting system and policies.
  • Assist with VAT report.
  • Assist with the preparation of bank reconciliation and receivables reconciliation.
  • Create invoices.
  • Assist with posting vouchers/deposits for Store 1 & 2, goods in transit and Amazon purchases.
  • Assist with Audit queries.
  • Submit weekly/daily report/updates on accounts related issues (this includes, resolution and administrative matters that can have an impact on accounting).
  • Create team goals and evaluate employee progress, timely.
  • Monitor team performance against Company standards and department goals.
  • Develop and lead a strong, results-oriented team.
  • Define KPIs for the business unit and optimize the business along those key metrics.

Requirements

  • Five (5) subjects CXC inclusive of Mathematics and English Language.
  • Certified Accounting Technician.
  • Proficient in Accounting and Payroll software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Two years similar experience would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of Accounting standard/Act/legislation, applicable to Guyana.
  • Knowledge of VAT legislation and application process.
  • Ability to prepare and evaluate financial positions.
  • Supervisory skills.
