The Inventory Clerk supports the Inventory, Production & Business Analyst by maintaining accurate inventory records, performing reconciliations, and assisting with production and stock data preparation. The role focuses on transactional accuracy, data integrity, and timely reporting to support month-end close, cost analysis, and audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.
  • Capture and validate production and inventory data from operational systems and source documents.
  • Support tracking of production volumes, material usage, and stock movements.
  • Assist with monitoring inventory levels and identifying unusual movements or discrepancies.
  • Valuation Inventory stock count.
  • Any other duties assigned.
  • Perform regular inventory reconciliations between inventory systems, production records, and reports provided by operations.
  • Prepare inventory and production schedules and supporting documentation for review by the Inventory & Production Analyst.
  • Investigate reconciling items and variances, escalating unresolved issues as required.
  • Maintain clear documentation and audit trails for all inventory transactions.
  • Assist with month-end close activities by preparing inventory-related reports and supporting schedules.
  • Support stock counts and cycle counts, including preparation, data entry, and reconciliation of physical counts to system balances.
  • Provide documentation and information to support internal and external audit requests.
  • Liaise with operations, warehouse, and production teams to ensure timely and accurate data capture.
  • Work alongside the finance team to ensure inventory information supports accurate cost of goods sold and financial reporting.
  • Follow established inventory controls, procedures, and reporting standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum qualification diploma in accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or revenue control.
  • Strong numerical accuracy and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
