The essential duties are ensuring that accounts payable and receivables transactions are kept up to date, inventory management and filing and record keeping. Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping: Assisting with daily accounting tasks, including recording transactions and updating financial records.
- Accounts Payable : Process invoices in accordance with company policy, verify accuracy, monitor accounts payable and ensure timely payment of bills, monthly supplier reconciliations, maintaining AR and AP records.
- Reconciliation: Reconciling bank statements and ledger balances.
- Reporting: Assisting in preparing monthly or annual budget reports and financial summaries.
- Inventory Management: Contribution to preparation of department inventory reports, processing Goods Received notes, purchasing and distribution of inventory.
- Record Keeping: Filing, scanning, and managing financial documents in a confidential manner.
- Payroll Processing : Assist with payroll processing and statutory submissions
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial reports and documentation.
- Transaction Processing : Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Compliance : Maintain compliance with company policies, internal controls, and relevant laws
Requirements
- Five CXC Subjects with passes in English A, Principle of Accounts and Mathematics
- Minimum 1 Year Experience working in a finance team advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly intermediate to advanced Excel.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks is highly preferred.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in recording and reviewing financial data.
