Assists the Accountant in providing timely and accurate Western Union Reconciliation data/information on the performance of GKRS (Guyana) Limited and any other assigned territories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Summarizes on a daily basis “Daily Agent Summary” to establish the amounts to be transferred to the “Customer Bank Accounts”.
  • Uploading and posting (Activity and settlement) to Oracle, Voyager to GL Journal on a daily basis, reconciling General Ledgers and preparing manual clearing journals.
  • Report daily on the Foreign Exchange Rate.
  • Prepare & submit daily money transfer sales (MTA) to assigned banks.
  • Prepare & submit weekly inflows & outflows of US$ reports.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. Degree in Accounting/Finance or completed ACCA Level 2
  • Two (2) or more years working experience in a similar capacity, preferably including banking or financial services involving cash management.
  • Familiarity with using computer-based accounting systems.
  • Sound technical skills and analytical ability
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and objectivity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of maturity and personal initiative.
  • Adaptability to changing accounting and audit environments and requirements.
