CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Application is invited from suitably qualified person(s) to fill the following position: OVERSEER

Job Purpose:

To manage the Council’s priorities and delivery of services through the provision of technical leadership and guidance, coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of activities and accountability for resources.

Key Functions:

• Managing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the implementation of Government policies, programmes, and council by-laws as required by the law;

• Carrying out the role of public relations and promoting a good image of the Council

• Managing effective utilization and accountability of Council’s resources both financial and human;

• Lobbying and coordinating the mobilization of resources for effective service delivery in the Council;

• Facilitating and promoting human resources development and planning.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge in Local Government procedures and best practices.

• Degree in Public Management, a minimum of five CSEC subjects including Mathematics, English and Accounting with passes of grades 1 to 3.

• Must be computer literate, with sound knowledge of Microsoft software. Must possess excellent writing and communications skills, experience in supervisory position would be an asset.

• Must possess a valid Police clearance.
